My Beauty Diary: Strawberry Yoghurt Amino Acid Cleanser

I bought this cleanser at Sasa Midvalley Megamall. The price is RM39.90. This is actually the second tub I bought as I really love the smell and texture of this cleanser. The packaging is very cute! Pink with lace design and the cleanser itself looks like pink froyo!

Another thing that I like about this cleanser is my skin doesn't feel tight after wash, which most probably due to its content, amino acid. Amino acid is known to help moisturise and balance the skin. In addition, this cleanser is soap free. Hence, it's not harsh to the skin and does not dry out the face.

Funny thing is, when I wanted to pay for this cleanser at the cashier at Sasa, the cashier lady asked me if I wanted a better cleanser. I said 'No' instantly, as I really love this cleanser. I've tried so many other cleansers such as Kiehl's, Artistry, Hada Labo, Naruko tea tree clay cleanser and so on, and this, My Beauty Diary cleanser, will be My Beauty Bestfriend for the time being, that is until I find another cleanser that works wonderfully than My Beauty Diary Strawberry Yoghurt Amino Acid cleanser. So, have you ever tried this cleanser? Or do you have your own beauty bestfriend?

BeautyMate: Purifying and Brightening Nano Essence

Product Review: BeautyMate Purifying and Brightening Nano Essence

Price: ~RM50

Where to Buy: Watsons

Texture: White runny

Scent: Light natural floral

I was browsing stuff at the Watsons for some BB Creams when I saw this essence. It is made in Taiwan, but BeautyMate itself is a Japanese brand. This essence caught my eyes as I was thinking that I would need something to help fade my acne scars. At the same time, I saw another brightening essence, under Heme brand. Since there was an available tester for this essence, and none for Heme, I decided to buy this after testing the texture which I really like.

I have now been using this essence for more than a week and no breakouts so far. Thank God! It really is a relief as I'm the kind who always seem to have breakouts whenever I tried anything new. I use 1 to 2 pumps for my face and neck.

The essence absorbs fast and doesn't leave oily look, even after a day.

Here's the list of its ingredients...

Ingredients:
Diethylhexyl Carbonate, Polyglyceryl-4 Laurate, Phenoxyethanol, Methyparaben, Dilauryl Citrate, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, JojobaOil, Mehtylisothiazolinone, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbarnate & Propylene Glycol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alryl Acrylate, Crosspolymer, Water, Niacinamide, Sodium PCA, PEG-120 Jojoba Esters, Sodiom HyaluronateGlycerin, Btylene Glycol, Morus Nigra Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol/Yeast Extract, Styrene/Acrylamide Copolymer Polymethylsilsesquioxane Dimethicone/Cetearyl Methicone/Isohexadecane Polyquaternium-51, Water & Phospholipids & Ursolic Acid, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, France, Trithanolamine, Gentiana Lutea Root, Black Pearl Powder

What it says on the box:
BeautyMate Purifying and Brightening Nano Essence contains Gentiana Lutea Root Extract and Black Pearl Extract. Use together with Beautymate Purifying Nano Lotion or Cream for best whitening results. Gentiana Lutea Root Extract and Black Pearl Powder can effectively brighten and hydrate skin and minimize melanin and spots, improve dull skin tone and prevent new formation of melanin for thorough whitening results.

What I think:
So far so good, I can see slight brightening effect as my skin doesn't look so dull or too tanned like before. I've only been using this for a week, so no real dramatic change yet.

Repurchase: No, as I would like to try other brightening or whitening essence from brands like Heme, Sophia Monk or Naruko.

Naruko: Marjoram and Lavender Brightening Eye Cream

Product Review: Naruko Marjoram and Lavender Brightening Eye Cream

Price: RM39.00

Where to buy: www.naruko.com.my or Watsons

Texture: Light creamy and smooth. It's very easy to pat the cream around the eye area.

Scent: Light natural lavender

How to use: Squeeze a dime sized amount of the cream and by using your ring fingers, rub the cream, then tap gently at the eye area.

Effect: This certainly has worked wonders as my eye bag disappeared after wearing this cream for the past 1 week. My dark circle also diminished and I feel my eye area moisturised. I really like this as it doesn't sting my eyes.

The Body Shop: Moisture White Hydrating Mask

Product Review: The Body Shop Moisture White Hydrating Mask

Price: RM78.00

Where to buy: Any of The Body Shop outlets

Ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat, Dipropylene Glycol, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Dimethicone Copolyol, Acrylates /C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Hydroxide, Methylparaben, Pyrus cydonia, Parfum

Texture: Teal colored (like sea water) and very watery gel like. The texture gives the impression that the mask is very hydrating, like dipping your face in the water. It feels cold to the skin. Very soothing.

Scent: It does contain fragrance and has very strong chemical smell which I dislike. It claims to have refreshing herbal scent. It's more chemical scented to me though.

How to use: After cleansing, I wiped my face dry and then I massaged the gel onto my face. I left it on skin for 15 minutes, and washed my face.

Effect: Unfortunately, this gave me breakouts on the forehead after a single use on the next day. I think the culprit might be the parfum used in the ingredients or Alcohol Denat as I tend to break out due to any alcohol contents.

Repurchase: A big NO
